Holidays at the train station
Performance, Metz, 2010, HD-video, 26 min, stereo
“Holidays at the train station” is part of a series of performances in which the artist sits down to remain on a public square for one hour.
Although this action appears very natural at first sight, it is not normal. It leads to very different reactions that give an insight into social conventions.
Within one hour in Metz the artist has been approached by five different people. One offered money, another wanted a cigarette, other one has left his purchases for three minutes to get something done at the station.
